Isn’t it such a bittersweet moment when our kids start doing things on their own that they once needed our help with? There’s so much pride in watching them grow more independent, while at the same time missing those little moments from when they were younger. I still remember having to scan my boys into the parks myself, and now at 16 and 12, they confidently head off to enjoy attractions together on their own. It really is such a special stage of parenting.
The good news is that making this change is super easy! When you arrive at the first park you visit, just let the Cast Member at the turnstiles know that you’d like your daughter to start using her own fingerprint linked to her
MagicBand. They’ll be happy to update everything for you, and she’ll be all set moving forward!
With your trip coming up so soon, I wanted to give you a quick reminder about
Lightning Lane passes in case they’re something you’re considering for your vacation! If you’re
staying at a Disney Resort, you’ll be able to purchase your Lightning Lane selections beginning 7 days before your check-in date. Guests staying offsite can make their purchases starting 3 days before their park visit. It’s definitely nice to keep those dates in mind so you can be ready when your booking window opens!
