My daughter loves to skateboard and wants to know if she can bring her skateboard to the resort and downtown disney

Unfortunately not. Areas laws prohibit the use of skateboards, skates, and rollerblades in shopping areas, parking lots and sidewalks. And Disney itself does not allow any wheeled items in the parks and resorts other than strollers and personal mobility devices such as EVCs and wheelchairs. Even wheeled shoes, such as Heelies, are not allowed at Walt Disney World.

I'm sorry to say that your daughter is going to have to save her skateboarding for when she's back at home.
