Hi Jennifer!
How amazing that you will be in Walt Disney World for your daughter's 13th birthday! When you arrive make sure to ask a Cast Member at Guest Services for a complimentary "Happy Birthday" button. She will love hearing "Happy Birthday" from Cast Members and guests all day long!
My mom absolutely love elephants and collects anything related to elephants and Dumbo, so I can definitely point you in the right direction!
First, make sure you visit Magic Kingdom and ride Dumbo The Flying elephant. Not only is the attraction amazing, but the interactive queue to sit in while you are waiting is so much fun! They also sell Dumbo themed popcorn buckets (which I had to have!) at the popcorn kiosk near the attraction.
Second, visit Animal Kingdom and experience the
Kilimanjaro Safari. You can ride in an open-air vehicle for a tour of the savannas and see elephants, lions and more. I'm not sure if you are staying at Animal Kingdom lodge, but if you are, make sure to experience the Sunrise Safari. The Animal Kingdom Lodge Night Safari is for guests at Animal Kingdom Lodge only and it's a special ticketed event. If your daughter loves animals, she will love this! Also consider the
Wild Africa Trek tour. You can see elephants up close at this experience as well.
Unfortunately there aren't meet and greets with Dumbo, but outside of the Dumbo the Flying elephant attraction you can take pictures with a replica of Dumbo.
I hope you have a magical vacation!
Magically,
Stacy
