Aloha, Sharlene!
So glad you've found us. I love that your daughter enjoyed taking pictures with the dolphin carousel statue. King Triton's Carousel of the Sea was my eldest child's favorite attraction at
Disney California Adventure Park's original Paradise Pier as a keiki. One of my favorite photos is of my husband and kiddo on the carousel! Having those photo traditions each visit are always so special. In fact, I have a couple of dolphin-loving planDisney pals,
Melissa H. and
Brent H., whom I'm sure both have enjoyed photos with that very statue, too! They really love dolphins and I'm sure while they felt excitement for the reimagined
Pixar Place Hotel, I bet it was bittersweet to know that it would be removed.
I spoke with a cast member today and she confirmed that King Triton's dolphin has been permanently removed due to the reimagining of the Pixar Place Hotel. Sadly, we do not have any information on where this dolphin has traveled to outside of the
Disneyland Resort. I wish I had better news but don't let that deter you from experiencing all the magic!
If you're planning a visit this summer and a stay at Pixar Place Hotel, did you know that your daughter can meet Bing Bong from Inside Out and you can jazz to music by Joe Gardner from SOUL? A summer visit would be a great time to check out
Pixar Fest (now through August 4), a
Celebration of Friendship and Beyond, and it spans both parks! I'm so excited to experience the new
daytime parade and if she is a fan of the sea, I hear our friends from Luca will make an appearance!
Sharlene, I am wishing you a magical time planning your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth. Mahalo for visiting us, if you have any other questions feel free to
send another message!
Magic awaits!
Camille
