Hey there, hi there Morag! Welcome!
Your visit to
Walt Disney World is coming up in just a few weeks, so I can understand why your daughter-in-law is feeling anxious. I travel often with my three grandchildren - all under the age of five - and when they are out of their normal bedtime routine, crawling into their familiar beds, it can delay bedtime by quite a bit.
Across the board, in every
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you're going to find that the most readily available crib option is a
Pack 'n' Play play yard. In very few circumstances, there may be a more traditional crib available, but these are in very short supply throughout the Disney Resorts, and there is no guarantee that you would be able to get one at
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. You should definitely request a crib ahead of time regardless, but if you note on your reservation that you prefer one of the regular cribs, it may help. Again, those are in very limited supply anywhere at Walt Disney World, and there may not be one available at Caribbean Beach.
If your wee one is definitely going to need a regular crib, do a web search for full-size crib rentals at Walt Disney World. There are a handful of places that do rent them, and some of them will deliver to the resort for you with fresh linens. It's an added expense over the free use of the Pack 'n' Play at your resort, but it might be worth it to preserve a good night's sleep.
Good luck, Morag!
