Hi! We (my 5 yo daughter and hubby) have our Disney trip planned Jan-Feb 2026. I see on Feb 2 there is an after hours event at MK! Do we only need to purchase an AH ticket for each of us to enter that evening? And we can do a different park that day?

    Hey there, Brandy!

I'm absolutely delighted to welcome you to planDisney! I just love that you and your family will be kicking off the New Year at the Most Magical Place on Earth. There's really no better way to start the year than surrounded by magic, laughter, and all the Disney fun you can imagine. From the immersive attractions to the joyful energy that fills the parks, it's a truly wonderful way to celebrate together and make memories that will last a lifetime.

Disney After Hours events are such a fun way to experience the parks in a whole new light... literally! There's really something magical about exploring the parks at night. The rides feel different, the streets have a unique energy, and everything just feels a little extra special.

One of the best parts of After Hours that comes with this ticketed event is the shorter wait times on tons of popular attractions. Plus, there are select snacks and drinks included, so you can grab a treat anytime! And if you're at Magic Kingdom, you'll even get to experience the nighttime fireworks spectacular, Disney Enchantment, which is only available during this event!

If you're planning to attend Magic Kingdom only for the After Hours event, you'll just need to purchase those tickets. You can still use your regular theme park ticket to visit a different park during the daytime. Your After Hours ticket lets you enter Magic Kingdom as early as 7:00 PM, but the event itself doesn't officially start until 10:00 PM.

While the exact hours for Magic Kingdom on February 2, 2026 haven't been posted yet, the park typically closes around 9:00 PM for regular Guests without After Hours tickets. Be sure to keep an eye on the Hours and Events Calendar as your trip gets closer so you'll have the most up-to-date information.

Brandy, I hope this helps clarify things as you continue planning your trip. If any other questions come up, don't hesitate to reach out to us at planDisney!
