Hey, Marie! Disney's All-Star Resorts are becoming quite spectacular these days! I was recently able to see one of the refurbished rooms at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort and really loved the updates. The room changes are very similar to the ones made at Disney's Pop Century Resort. A queen-size platform bed was placed in the room along with a pull-down Murphy-style bed. This gave us great storage room for luggage and room to move around while dressing in the morning. The bathroom area can now be closed off with a sliding door to allow for privacy while applying an extra sprinkling of pixie dust. After all, one should never leave without their pixie dust! My favorite update was the addition of a coffee maker. No more early morning coffee runs to the food court!
Refurbishment is wrapping up at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort, while work has just begun at Disney's All-Star Music Resort. The updates did take quite a while to finish at the first resort, so I do want you to be aware that they may not even begin at Disney's All-Star Sports Resort by the time you plan to stay. You may want to try to swap your reservation to one of the other resorts if you do wish to have a refurbished room. Considering the older rooms have full-size beds and the refurbished rooms have queen beds, I consider this to be a worthwhile change.
While staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, be sure to check to see if their Quick Service dining location offers
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering. This can be done right in your
My Disney Experience mobile app. Besides the time you will save when using it, this feature offers another great advantage - access to their "secret menu" items! There have been several items that have popped up at various dining locations, particularly those at the resorts.
Thanks again for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions!
