My daughter is handicapped. What things can she expect on a disney cruise?

    Ahoy Angela!
Welcome back to the Moms Panel!  I'm excited your family has chosen Disney Cruise Line for a magical vacation on the high seas!  I know you will find Disney Cruise Line very accommodating to your daughter's needs when you are aboard.  The ship is easy to maneuver by wheelchair with special areas for viewing for the deck parties and theater shows.  I'm not sure of her age, but she can participate in the youth programming if she is between the ages of 3 and 17.  You can visit the youth clubs on the first afternoon of your cruise to speak with the youth counselors about how to make your daughter comfortable participating in all the fun and excitement in these amazing spaces! She can also venture ashore during Port Adventures just be sure to check the "Important Additional Information" on the Port Adventure description to make sure it is wheelchair accessible.  If you cruise visits Castaway Cay, you will find sand wheelchairs free of charge at Scuttle's Cove, the first tram stop.
There is a Special Services form available online in the Planning Center that you can fill out prior to cruising to let Disney Cruise Line know about your daughter's needs before arriving. Also, you can call (407) 566-3500 to speak to someone further about what to expect.
Thank you for stopping by with your question, Angela!  If I can help you with additional questions, please let me know!
    Have a magical day!
