I have a daughter who will be 10 when we go next time. She does not eat adult meals. She still eats kid meal because adult meals are to much for her. Should I buy a kid meal on the dining for her? Can I do that?

Hi, Crystal!  Unfortunately, you won't be able to purchase a children's dining plan for your daughter.  The age of the guests as listed on your room dictates whether or not you can purchase an adult dining plan or a children's dining plan.  When you book everything, they will ask the age of the children in your party, and if they are over nine, they are no longer eligible for the children's dining plan.

In my personal experience, I have had no trouble sharing a meal with one of my daughters while dining on the dining plan.  I have had gastric bypass surgery, and at any given time, one of my daughters may not be able to eat a full adult meal, even though they are all over the age of nine.  I've always explained this to the servers at the restaurants, and they've been very kind to allow us to share meals.  I think this may be an answer for your daughter.

You can order an adult meal for yourself, and opt to share that meal with your daughter, which may allow you to do an extra meal or a signature dining experience.  Another option is to advise your server that your daughter isn't able to enjoy an adult meal.  I have seen them arrange to have a meal created using children's menu items, just in a larger portion.

The last alternative would be a doggie bag.  If you can get back to your resort after your meal to put the leftovers in the refrigerator, someone might have a yummy midnight snack!
