My daughter is gluten free. I know that some of the restaurants provide limited choices. We are planning to purchase the dining plan for the members of our group but do not believe she will benefit from the plan. Is it possible she won't have to get it?

    Hi Sara,

Disney does a wonderful job accomodating guests with special dietary needs. My youngest daughter has a shellfish allergy and she has dined at a clam bake with no incident because Disney takes the time to cater to her needs.

You will find that there are more options for guests than what you are seeing on the menus. Yes the counter service menus might have more limited options but ask the cast member at the register if there are additional choices. For dinner, most chefs will visit your table to discuss dining options. For additional information, visit the special dietary restriction site.

As for the Disney Dining Plan, I think it can work for your daughter. When you purchase the dining plan for your reservation, everyone listed on your reservation must have the same dining plan. If you choose to not include your daughter on the dining plan, then the rest of your group will not be able to have the dining plan.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
