Hi Nadeen!
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for stopping by to see us with your question. Typically, you will be allowed to visit the resort to shop and dine, walk around and explore the resort. Parking is subject to the front desk’s discretion. I would recommend your daughter speak to the front desk upon arrival about your plan, and they may be able to offer a day parking pass for you. Do know that this is subject to change at any time, and especially with the current pandemic, the front desk would have the final say. If parking was not allowed, you could consider parking for free at Disney Springs, and then take the boat or a bus to
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort French Quarter or Riverside While you would be welcome to
grab a meal, walk the gardens, shop, and explore the resort with your family, only registered Guests of the resort may use the pool area. You would not be able to spend the day at the pool with them. If you were wanting a day of water fun, you could consider a water park day at Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park as an option. Or maybe just plan to come over to enjoy dinner and an evening walk. Another non-park option would be to meet at
Disney Springs for an afternoon of shopping followed by dinner at one of the many delicious options. I highly recommend
The BOATHOUSE, Morimoto Asia, or my family’s favorite for their live entertainment,
Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant. I hope this helps to answer your question, Nadeen. Wishing you a magical visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort. - Kate
