my daughter and her family are going to disney world from dec 9 to the 15th and are staying at the polynesian resort. My wife and I are thinking of going but we are interested in staying at the wilderness lodge. I was wondering how far apart they are?

    Hiya, David! Welcome!

Oh my goodness, David, you have chosen my favorite Walt Disney World resort hotel during the holiday season. Of all of the Disney Resorts Collection hotels, Disney's Wilderness Lodge just gives me such a warm, cozy, holiday feeling. Roaring fires, rocking chairs, towering tree - it's perfect.

How far away the resorts are from each other depends on your method of transportation. Walt Disney World transportation can get you where you need to go, but you may take a bit of a scenic tour to get places.

You can take a boat from your resort to Magic Kingdom Park, then transfer to the boat that goes to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. You can also go from your resort by bus to the Transportation and Ticket Center, and then transfer to another bus or the monorail to the Polynesian Village Resort. The first way - by boat - will take about 45 minutes. To use buses or the bus and monorail, allow yourself at least 30 minutes.

If you opt instead for a ride share service or taxi, or if you have a car, you can probably get from your resort to the Polynesian in a little more than five minutes. The distance between the resorts is just under a mile, but allowing for traffic, give yourself a few extra minutes.

I hope you get to enjoy an absolutely amazing vacation with your daughter and her family, David! If we can help with any other planning questions, please do come back to see us!
