My daughter is 4 and was so excited for us to wear matching princess costumes. A friend told me that adults can't dress up but my brother in law was dressed as a pirate with us last year and it wasn't a problem. We're going in a week. I can't find a policy

    Hi Rebecca!

Isn't it amazing what we will do for our children? Walt Disney World Resort is a great place to let our inner child out. I know I always enjoy spending time with my four children in the parks, and that includes wearing my Mickey Ears proudly.

I looked over the Disney Theme Parks & Water Parks – Frequently Asked Questions about recommended dress, and found this:

"Attire that is not appropriate for the parks—and which may result in refusal of admittance—includes but is not limited to:
    • Adult costumes or clothing that can be viewed as representative of an actual Disney character
    • Masks

Adults can visit the parks if their hair (or makeup, if applicable) resembles a Disney Princess or character, provided that they are not also wearing a costume or clothed to look like the character."

I would suggest calling (407) 939-2273 and speaking with a Cast Member directly. This will allow you to describe your princess costume and receive instant feedback.

Please let us know if we can help answer any other questions before your next visit to Walt Disney World.

    Have a magical day!
