My daughter will be going to DW at the end of April with her school band. She is on a Gluten Free Diet, and I would like to know the restaurants, that serve gluten free food. They will be going to the Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Stuidos & E

    Caitlin,

There is a great resource, and a series of articles, about dining Gluten Free at Walt Disney World in the dining section of the AllEars.Net website. I recommend it highly.

As for specific restaurants that have gluten-free food, it is less about what restaurants can serve that need, but more about what is available at each restaurant for that diet. Instead you should contact the restaurants where you will be dining and inform them of her allergy. In many cases at table service restaurants a chef from the kitchen will come out and give you a review of the menu items that will serve your need. Even at a buffet restaurant they will come out and walk the line with you, letting you know what is safe, and what is not.

As for treats, you will find that there are several sweets that are available at snack stands and counter service restaurants throughout the parks and resorts that are specifically gluten free. There are some brownies and chocolate chip cookies that are fairly well distributed, among other items.

After you have had a chance to review that article, if you have any follow-up questions that you think I could help with, I would be glad to try.

    Have a magical vacation!
