Hello, Catlin! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
The
Kids Races during
runDisney events are just about the cutest things in the world. My daughter participated in her first one when she was four years old, and she absolutely loved it. While the Diaper Dash is designed for little ones under 12 months old who are crawling (or at least scooting), you’ll find quite a few of them who are still working on their initial mobility skills. My biggest concern is that the Active.com registration site won’t allow you to register someone with a future birthdate, so you won’t be able to complete the registration until after your daughter is born. The Kids Races do have a tendency to sell out, so you may let whether or not registration is still available after her birth determine whether or not to register her.
Every Kids Race participant receives an official race bib, finisher medal and t-shirt, but please be advised that the smallest possible shirt size is a 2T. You can certainly put it up for future wear, though, or turn it into something like a commemorative pillow or blanket!
Best wishes on the birth of your daughter, Catlin, and best of luck on your
Star Wars Rival Run Weekend races. I hope both go well!
Please let us know if there are any additional questions we can answer for you as you plan your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation. We’re always happy to help!
