My daughter and I would like to dine at the Coral Reef while our spouses participate in the 5 pm DiveQuest activity. We plan to book a 6 pm dinner. Would it be possible for our spouses to join us for dinner when they complete their dive?

Welcome back to planDisney Carol, it's great to see you here with another one of your questions!

When we dined at Coral Reef Restaurant recently I wondered whether it would be at all weird to gaze out at all the diverse species of sea life while enjoying a menu full of seafood - and thankfully this didn't detract from the experience at all. I do wonder however what each of your spouses would think after spending some time swimming along with their fishy friends during their EPCOT Seas Adventures – DiveQuest experience!

Due to the length of the entire tour and dive itself, a Guest Relations Cast Member whom I spoke with recommended that you might want to shift your booking to allow a bit more time if you'd ideally want your spouses to be able to join you for more of the meal. This could also give you more opportunity to spot them drifting along as you snap some pictures peering out from the viewports at The Seas with Nemo & Friends!

If however you'd just like them to show up in time for dessert after they've successfully cleaned up and dried off from their aquatic adventures, your best bet is to check with the folks at Coral Reef Restaurant that day directly to ask whether it's possible for two additional party members to join you - as well the Cast Members serving you so they're aware in the event additional folks show up for them if they aren't already counted in your reservation. (They also let me know that while accommodations can sometimes be made for guests joining a party later, this may not always be guaranteed and subject to availability of seating on the day of your visit.)

If your spouses are anything like me, I've always emerged from any dive that I've taken exceptionally hungry and ready to eat immediately; if they're able to join you in the end and the timing works out well enough, having drinks and snacks already ordered for them might be very much appreciated. Here's hoping that you, your daughter and both your spouses will be able dine together as they regale you with their tales of the deep; in the meantime Carol, you're always welcome back here for any more tips, tricks or advice ahead of your next EPCOT visit!

Though some may say "Fish are Friends, not Food", I hope you enjoy chowing down on some delicious dishes!
