Hi! My daughter will be competing at the ESPN Wide World of Sports. I would like to stay on Disney property. Is there bus service from any of the hotels to the complex?

Welcome to planDisney, Patti! Let's play ball! Sports and springtime go together like baseball and apple pie, and I'm so glad you're planning to stay in the magic during your daughter's upcoming ESPN Wide World of Sports competition. My family wouldn't consider it a Walt Disney World Resort vacation unless we stayed at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, so I completely understand.

I reached out to Walt Disney World Bus Service, and the Cast Member explained that all transportation to the ESPN Wide World of Sports is planned by the organization in charge of coordinating the event. No regular bus service is provided from any of the resorts, but during the actual event, transportation is typically arranged. You could reach out to the event team in charge of your daughter's event, or you will probably get details from them closer to the event. So, for your daughter, no matter where she is staying, it sounds like her transportation will be arranged.

If you plan to come along but stay at a different resort or even off-property, you'll be pleased to know that all parking at the ESPN complex is complimentary. If you're planning to do ridesharing while on Walt Disney World property, I'd recommend the most magical way to travel, Minnie Van service! These adorably polka-dotted vehicles are an attraction in themselves!

I'd like to wish your daughter the best of luck with her competition! I'm sure she'll knock it out of the park, so to speak. Please stop by planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
