Hello! My daughter and I are coming to WDW in June and we're staying at the Grand Floridian. I'm wondering if we can take a water taxi over to the Polynesian or Wilderness Lodge for dinner or drinks?

    Hi Beth!

I’m so glad you've come back to planDisney with your question! The water taxi service between resorts is something my family enjoys as well. For us, getting on the boat is an attraction in itself! The water taxis are a wonderful way to get a lovely outdoor view of the Seven Seas Lagoon and get to a dining reservation at another resort.

You’ll be happy to hear that the water taxi service on the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake has returned! From Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the water taxi would take you directly to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort before heading to the Magic Kingdom. If you wished to visit Disney’s Wilderness Lodge you would need to disembark at the Magic Kingdom dock and board a different boat destined for that resort.

To keep safe social distancing, you may not be able to board the first boat that arrives, so please keep that in mind. Give yourself extra time to get to your destination. Also, visitors to other Disney Resort Collection Hotels may be limited to Guests with an overnight or dining reservation at that resort. I would recommend making an Advance Dining Reservation for the location you wish to visit to avoid any disappointment.

I hope this information is helpful as you plan your exciting visit, Beth! Wishing you a magical vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort!
