    My daughter and I are coming to WDW at the end of December. We arrive the day of her birthday and she will be 14. Neither one of us have been there and I want to make the most out of this trip. Where should I make reservations for?

    What a special birthday memory for your daughter!

    I have a few ideas and options so you decide.  First, if you want to go teenage chic, try California Grill in the Contemporary.  This is my top fancy restaurant.  Book it during the fireworks and you will have an amazing experience. All the food is cooked based on the season so it always is new and fresh.
    Another upscale restaurant is Narcosse's in the Grand Floridian.  This restaurant boasts elegant flavors. Finally, try the Brown Derby in Hollywood Studios.  This is a new favorite of mine.

    Another option might be all out fun. Whispering Canyon Cafe in Wilderness Lodge is my favorite place to celebrate a birthday. Traditional cooking with its own western flair. 50's Prime Time Cafe in Hollywood Studios has similar food but you get to watch tv with dinner which does not happen at my house! Teppanyaki Dining Room in Japan in EPCOT puts you right in the middle of the cooking and it is my daughter Jessica's favorite restaurant.

    Finally, no birthday or trip to Disney would be complete without lunch or dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table. Who wouldn't want to eat in a castle?

    I would visit allearsnet.com to review the menus from all of the Disney restaurants.  Also, look at the other dining choices suggested on this board and then pick your favorites.  Remember you will need Advance Dining Reservations during your stay so you can call for them 180 days prior to your arrival.
