    Hi! My daughter and I will be going on the Christmas cruise December 3,2018. She will be 11 then and she is a runner. Will she be able to run the 5k at Castaway Cay with me?

    What a magical cruise you have planned for December of 2018! The holiday season is a wonderful time to set sail because of the festive events and activities scheduled and the dazzling decor that fills the ship from stem to stern. I could spend hours in the Grand Lobby Atrium soaking in the beautiful scenery especially the 24-foot tall Christmas tree and life-sized Gingerbread House. Not only will the ship be decked out, but you'll also love the holiday touches added to Castaway Cay! Your cruise photos will be extra-special from this spirited vacation! 

    The Castaway Cay 5K is a fabulous way to begin your day on Disney's private island. Guests 10 and over are able to participate in this 3-mile run, so you and your daughter will be able to sign-up on the ship prior to your arrival at Castaway Cay. On the morning of your run, you'll meet on the ship to disembark as a group after picking up your official runDisney race bibs. Medals, which make great souvenirs, will be awarded at the finish line. Once you're done, it's a short walk back to the ship if you prefer to shower and change into your beach attire in your stateroom.
