My daughter who is 16 chose her Make a wish to Disney World. The Give Kids the World village seems extremely juvenile for her age. Thoughts? How far of a drive to the park?

Hi, Jennifer!  I cannot say enough wonderful, glowing things about Give Kids the World.  They go out of their way to make the Village experience positive and cheerful for every child, regardless of age.

There are lots of cutesy things, I'm not gonna lie.  But that's what helps it appeal to a broader audience.  You'll find a contemporary teen center there among the carousel and characters, with a pool table, video games, music, television, and even computers for those who want to stay connected to their friends back home.  The miniature golf course there is fun for everyone, and they have one of the most awesome pool areas I've ever seen.

The villas themselves are very homey looking.  They aren't "kiddie" or "cartoonie" in any way, and they are fully appointed with everything a family could need.

And hey, if ice cream for breakfast is juvenile, I don't want to grow up!

Don't forget, you'll be spending time away from the Village as well.  As long as your daughter feels up to it, you'll be soaking up the magic at the theme parks.

The drive to the Magic Kingdom is about 20 minutes, door to door from the Village.  The other Disney World parks are all within a similar time frame.

I hope your family enjoys making many incredible memories on your upcoming trip!  Your daughter will be in my thoughts and prayers, and may you all find strength and courage to battle on with her.  If I can help in any other way, please let me know!
