Hi! My daughter is celebrating her 13th birthday in Disney World. We have been to Disney many times before but, would like to do something special. Also, which resort do you recommend? Thanks!

    Hi Betsy,

It's great to have you with us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thanks for allowing us to celebrate your daughter's big 13th Birthday with you! As you know, there are so many ways to enjoy a different Walt Disney World Resort vacation, no matter how many times you have visited!

First, how about a pampering afternoon with a visit to Senses: A Disney Spa? With locations at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, a soothing afternoon is never too far away! For an experienced tailored just for your new teenager, check out the Teen Specific services at Mandara Spa in Walt Disney World Dolphin hotel. They have massage, nail and facial options just for her.

After a refreshing afternoon, make her feel like royalty with a magical on-the-water viewing of Wishes Nightime Spectacular from Ferrytale Wishes: A Fireworks Dessert Cruise. Enjoy delicious and unique treats as you view the dazzling excitement in the sky along the peaceful waters of Bay Lake. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 407-939-3463.

If your Princess is more like Merida than Aurora, maybe she would enjoy a special afternoon Horseback Trail Ride starting at Tri-Circle-D Ranch at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. She can even march those boots right over for an Archery Lesson once she hand over the reigns.

Finally, make sure to pick up a Celebration button!

    Wishing you many magical memories,

    Sally
