My daughter will be celebrating her 14th birthday in Disney on a family vacation. She does not eat meat. Any suggestions for her b-day dinner?

    Hi Judith,

Congrats to your daughter on celebrating 14! The Walt Disney World Resorts are such a fun place to celebrate a birthday! Make sure you grab a Happy Birthday pin and let cast members know at table service restaurants you are celebrating.

While I am not a vegetarian, I do not eat beef or pork and most days I do not eat meat. Disney is the one place I never feel like I can not get a great vegetarian meal. One of my favorite meals ever was at the Yachtman Steakhouse. I had the most delicious pasta dish!

Some favorite places to dine to celebrate besides the Yachtman Steakhouse are the California Grill, Whispering Canyon Cafe, Jiko-the Cooking Place and Teppan Edo. I would have your daughter look at the menus and see what she likes. I will note that Disney likes to cook with items that are in season which is more true for the vegetarian dishes. So if you were to go in the fall, she might have pumpkin raviolis as an option which she would not see on a menu now. She should look at the overall selection of foods served at the restaurant and then a choose a restaurant. You can always modify the reservation as you get closer.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
