My daughter has a cat as an ESA. Are there any Disney properties that allow cats/ESA animals?

Welcome to planDisney, Tamara, and I must say, I love your name. That's actually my first name! And I'm here to help you with your question. Do you know why? Because in the words of my favorite Aristocat Marie, I'm a lady, that's why! So let's get started right meow!

Tamara, there are several Disney Resort Hotels, Disney's Art of Animation Resort, for example, that will accommodate dogs on designated floors. But according to a friendly Cast Member I spoke with, cats are not permitted at any onsite resort. I know that's not what you were hoping to hear, and as an animal lover myself, I'd like to offer an alternative.

Since you're taking a fun vacation and visiting the Theme Parks, why not plan an exciting getaway for your daughter's kitty, too? Best Friends Pet Hotel is located on Walt Disney World Resort property and offers boarding and fun activities that are the cat's meow! Cats stay in multi-level condo towers and can have extras like playtime and Tuna on a Ritz. And the best part is that your family can stop by anytime to visit and get feline snuggles.

As someone who looks lovingly at my dog like Thomas O'Malley gazed at Duchess, I know how leaving our beloved pets behind feels. Boarding the baby nearby might be an option, but if you leave the cat at home, I'm sure it will be thrilled to see your daughter when you return. Or it will pout for a while; I've had cats, so I know how they can be!

Tamara, I hope your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit is just purrfect, and I'm not kitten! Please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
