Tim from MI Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Our daughter will be building a droid at Hollywood Studios. If we want to store it in a locker after building, will the larger locker fit the droid and the box it comes in?

Bright suns, Tim! Welcome to planDisney, where we are Jedi masters when it comes to getting the answers to all of your Disney vacation planning questions!

Customizing and building your own droid at the Droid Depot is an experience your daughter (and you) will never forget! She'll be able to choose from a variety of components to build her very own BB-Series or R-Series droid. And then there are a bunch of accessories to add on to customize it further and give it its own personality. And the best part? She'll be playing with it long after she returns home!

There are small and large locker sizes at Disney's Hollywood Studios. While the large locker should be able to fit the droid, it will likely not be able to fit the box it comes in. My friend Samantha reported that the boxes are approximately 11 inches wide, 11 inches deep, and 18 inches tall. The large lockers at the park are 15.5" x 13" x 17". There are usually backpacks that you can purchase to make carrying them around the parks easier. They are super cute and since the droid interacts with the land, it will be with your daughter while she travels around and she can get the full experience! You also may have the option to ship it back home. Simply ask the Cast Members about this possibility. Of course, if you're able to schedule your Droid Depot visit toward the end of your visit to the park, you can simply just carry it out of the park with you. And while package delivery and pick-up have not yet returned to the resort, that may change by the time you visit, so you'll want to stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog to see if it returns before your trip.

No matter what your level of Star Wars fandom, I can tell you firsthand that you're going to love your time at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. The headliner attraction, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, is really a work of art and engineering (called Imagineering) and will totally blow you away. But the fun doesn't end there. You've also got the interactive Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run attraction, the characters that freely walk around the land at various times, and my favorite, Oga's Cantina where you can enjoy a beverage in some amazing theming while listening to some pretty awesome tunes spun by DJ R-3X. Honestly, just walking around this land truly makes you feel like you are in another world. After all, you're no longer on planet Earth when you step foot here, you're on the planet of Batuu.

Tim, your daughter is going to cherish her memories of visiting this otherworldly place and creating her own droid. And so will you. If you have any other questions leading up to your trip, don't hesitate to reach out to me. Luckily, we planDisney Panelists aren't in a galaxy far, far away. Instead, we're just a few clicks and a question away from helping you make the most out of your Walt Disney World Resort visit.

    This is the way,
