What’s the range of sizes of the finished droids you make at Droid Depot? I know it depends on your choices but I want to plan for the max/min luggage space and weight I’ll need to get 2 back to the UK. If they won’t fit then I may need to cancel

Bright suns, Andrea!  Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel on your way to the planet Batuu.

Droid Depot at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge has the droids you are looking for.  Guests can book a reservation to build their own BB-Series or R-Series astromech droid up to 180 days in advance.  During the Droid Depot experience, you will be able to choose parts for your droid from a conveyor belt, assemble it, and bring it to life in an activation station.  Once activated, your droid can interact with other astromech droids and various Bluetooth-enabled elements and devices as you carry it throughout the land.  Personality chips are available to purchase at an additional charge to further customize your droid's interactive responses.  Your droid will make the perfect traveling companion as you explore Black Spire Outpost.

If you decide to build a BB-Series droid, you can expect it to be 10 inches tall, or approximately 12 inches tall, including the antenna.  The BB-Series droids are about 7 inches wide and 7 inches deep.  The R-Series droids are approximately 12.5 inches tall, 8.5 inches wide, and 8 inches deep.  Both styles of droids weigh about 3.5 pounds.  Once you construct your droid, it will be placed in a hexagon-shaped carrying box.  These boxes are approximately 11 inches wide, 11 inches deep, and 18 inches tall, including the handle.  If you wish to take your droid out of the carrying box, it would likely fit in most standard-size backpacks.  In fact, you can even purchase a backpack at Droid Depot, in which you can carry your droid.

If you are worried about bringing your droid home with you on the plane, you could also look into having it shipped to your home planet.  Purchases can be shipped home from many Walt Disney World Resort retail locations for an additional fee.  Guests also have the option of arranging to ship packages home themselves at one of the Business Centers found in select Walt Disney World Resort Hotels.

As you prepare to travel to the planet Batuu, be sure to take a look at these Disney Parks Moms Panel tips for making the most of your visit to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.  'Til the Spires!
