Hello Moms.... My daughter, her best friend and I will be traveling to WDW on 4/17/10, we have reservations at Cinderella's Castle. My adult step-daughter is now thinking about going with us. Would she be able to join us for our reservation?

Hi, Dawn!  I am going to give you my husband's philosophy in life in order to answer your question.  It is easier to ask forgiveness than to ask permission.  He uses it when he goes over budget in buying a video game without talking it over with me, or when he buys ice cream for the girls twenty minutes before I put dinner on the table.  It may work with Cinderella's Royal Table for you.

If you call, they will in all likelihood tell you that there are no tables available for your party size.  The restaurant fills up quickly as soon as the reservation window opens up, so if you call to change your reservation, they are probably going to have to give you the bad news that they can't change anything.

If you show up for your reservation, check in with a party of four instead of three, you stand a much better chance of them adding an extra chair to your table than you do of re-booking your reservation.  If it is at all possible (which it may be, since there is a possibility you are already going to be seated at a table that can accommodate four people), they will make it happen for you.

You can beg forgiveness for your error in booking the wrong number, but you may not even have to resort to those extremes.  As long as you are prepared for them to tell you they are unable to accommodate you, and you have a backup plan prepared, I don't think there is any harm in trying.

Good luck!  I'm sending you some virtual pixie dust in hopes it will all work out!
