Hiya, Shannon! Oh boy! Your daughter is headed to the Most Magical Place on Earth for her senior trip. How are you feeling? My oldest is a junior and all the "this time next year" thoughts keep pouring in. I feel like Riley, and I'm so glad "Inside Out" put into words that it's normal to have multiple emotions at the same time.
Shannon, you're right about
Lightning Lane passes. To purchase a pass, you have to have valid theme park admission for the day, such as a ticket or an Annual Pass with a theme park reservation. Before she shows up as an "Eligible Guest" in the Lightning Lane pass system, she will need to link her ticket to her
MyDisney account.
Once she has her ticket, she can do this in the
My Disney Experience app. Select the "≡" at the bottom of the screen and pick the "My Tickets & Passes" tile. Click on the "+" in the top right corner and "Link Tickets & Passes." With the ticket in hand, she can scan the barcode or tap the ticket to her phone. If she is 18 years old, she should be able to purchase a Lightning Lane pass once her ticket is connected. If she is a minor, you may need to buy the pass for her.
My friend
Elaine recently shared that she spotted "graduation ears" on sale at
Walt Disney World Resort. The whole park is getting ready to celebrate the accomplishments of these emerging scholars. I still have my Mickey ears with the tassel from my Grad Nite trip back in the day. So special!
I hope your daughter has a magical trip and builds all the core memories that will make her smile when Nostalgia joins the team of emotions!
