Hello Brie,
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for sending us your question, and how exciting that you'll be arriving at Walt Disney World in just a few days. Woo hoo! The only thing more magical than visiting a Disney Park... is to enjoy a Disney Park along with your family and make great memories together! How wonderful that your sister may join you.
Any additional costs associated with adding your sister and her child will depend in part on the type of reservation you hold. For Disney Resort room-only bookings, the standard rate includes accommodations for two adults (ages 18 and over). If your daughter is under 18, adding your sister will not impact the cost of the reservation. However, if both you and your daughter are considered adults, adding a third adult guest will result in a slight increase to the nightly room rate.
If you have reserved a Disney Vacation Package, which is a Disney Resort plus theme park tickets, adding 2 people to your reservation would mean also purchasing park tickets for them.
Now for a sprinkle of pixie-dust... I've got some terrific news! If you do add your two family members as guests on your reservation - yes! They will also receive
free admission to a Disney water park on arrival day. That fantastic benefit being offered to Disney Resort guests this year has been a huge hit. It's such a great opportunity to pack in even more fun to your stay! And for the first time in forever, both water parks are open and available to enjoy -
Blizzard Beach and
Typhoon Lagoon. It's a tough choice which to visit, but you're guaranteed to have fun at either one!
If you're traveling that day, I recommend keeping your swim things handy so you can head to the water park as soon as possible. If you'll be using Disney bus transportation, the bus transfer service to Typhoon Lagoon is at Disney Springs, and bus transfer service to Blizzard Beach is at Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Just take a Disney bus from your resort, to either of those transfer locations. Parking is limited at the water parks, so this is a nice option to have.
If you have any additional questions about how to add guests to your reservation, and any change in cost, you can call
Disney Hotel Reservations and chat with a Cast Member.
Brie, I hope this helps. Have a wonderful time at Walt Disney World! PlanDisney is here anytime if you have other questions, or would like any pixie-dusted ideas or recommendations for your vacation.
See ya' real soon!
