    Hi! My daughter is an Anaheim resident (she’s 12) and lives with her dad. I am an AZ resident. I’d like to take my daughter to Disneyland for her 13 birthday. Am I able to purchase an Anaheim resident ticket for her and a regular ticket for me?

    Thanks for coming to us with your question and how truly special that you'd like to give your daughter such a wonderful birthday present! Some of my favorite memories have been when I took my kids to the Disneyland Resort for some valuable one on one time. Believe me, when they look back on their childhood, these are the core memories that'll come back.

    I'm happy to report that your idea to purchase the special Anaheim Resident Ticket for her should work out but you might have to jump through a few extra hoops in order to make it happen. Only adults are required to show ID to verify residency, so your daughter shouldn't have to present any form of ID when she activates her ticket. However, when purchasing the ticket, the MyDisney account to which it is attached must have an Anaheim billing address. So as a resident of AZ, you would not be eligible to purchase the Anaheim Resident Ticket yourself. You'd have to have someone else with an Anaheim billing address buy your daughter's ticket for you. 

    When you are there with your daughter, be sure to utilize the Disney PhotoPass photographers so they can document this really special day for you. If you decide to add Lightning Lane Multi Pass to your tickets, all pictures are included! And don't forget to grab a complimentary birthday button for her so others can share her special day! I love it when Cast Members and even other Guests wish a happy birthday to each other.
