My daughter (age 12) can't wait to go to the Avengers Academy. We are planning a trip between late this year and next year. She turns 13 next March. If we don't get to cruise between now and her birthday, will she still be allowed to go even if she's 13?

Welcome aboard, Massiel! The Avengers Academy inside Disney's Oceaneer Club on the Disney Magic is so wonderful! My son had so much fun becoming Iron Man and participating in the other Avengers themed activities there each day when we sailed last month! If your daughter is anxious to try this, she will not be disappointed!

The good news is that even if you don't sail until after she turns 13, there are Open House hours offered each day, during which time parents stay with their kids (and older kids can join their parents there too), in the Oceaneer Club and Lab. Your daughter can take you along to watch as she "becomes Iron Man" and explores the rest of what the Club and Lab have to offer. Just watch your Personal Navigator each day for the hours of each Open House, then stop by! Plus, Captain America makes appearances around the ship for Meet and Greets throughout your cruise! He's pretty easy on the eyes, I must say, so I hopped in line for a picture with him myself last time!

Have fun planning, Massiel! And until then, check out my video with more details on the fun new kids' spaces on the Disney Magic
