When will 2026 dates open for Disneyland?

    Hi Athena! Welcome to planDisney!

Few things are more exciting than having a Disneyland vacation on the horizon, and I’m thrilled to help you get a head start on planning your 2026 adventure to the Happiest Place on Earth!

Booking early is a smart way to make sure your visit goes as smoothly as possible. While Disneyland Resort vacation packages for 2026 typically go on sale around August of the year before, Disney hasn’t announced the exact release date just yet. Since these timelines can shift from year to year, I suggest checking the Disney Parks Blog regularly. That’s the best source for official updates about vacation package availability, new experiences coming to the parks, and seasonal offerings that may enhance your trip.

Another important piece of your planning puzzle will be purchasing your theme park tickets. In the past, Disneyland tickets have been released up to 180 days in advance, although that window can change. For example, if your visit is set for January 2, 2026, you’d be able to start buying tickets as of today, July 6. You can always head over to the Theme Park Tickets page on the Disneyland website to view current options and pricing.

As you start putting your itinerary together, I highly recommend looking into the Lightning Lane Multi Pass. This add-on lets you skip the standby lines at select attractions, helping you make the most of your time in the parks. You can purchase it ahead of time or on the same day of your visit, and once you're inside the park, simply use the Disneyland app to reserve return times for your favorite attractions.

Personally, I’ve found Lightning Lane Multi Pass to be a huge time-saver for my family. It helps us enjoy iconic rides like Space Mountain and Haunted Mansion and still sit down for a relaxing meal at Carnation Café. After all, no Disneyland day is complete without those delicious fried pickles!

Athena, I hope this gives you a solid starting point for planning your Disneyland Resort visit. If any more questions come up along the way, feel free to swing back by planDisney. We’re always happy to help!

Wishing you a magical journey ahead,
    David
