    What are the Dates for Marathon Weekend Jan 2012 and any other info about this event... especially the 5K My daughters and I are hoping to run this together. Thanks Mom

    Hi Joy!

    The dates for the Walt Disney World Marathon weekend in 2012 are January 5th to 8th, 2012. Preliminary information can be found at ESPN's Wide World of Sports website on the WDW Marathon pages. Registration for races will begin on March 15, 2011.

    Running a race at Walt Disney World is a truly fun experience and running with your family is extra special. My husband, kids and I recently ran a 5K at Disney World with friends. Not only was the race a great experience, but Disney's races are so family friendly! You may find character photo opportunities along the course and you will definitely find supportive Cast Members and families cheering the runners on! I can't recommend a better place to run!
