    1) What date can I make golf cart reservations for 2022? (Staying at Fort Wilderness campground) 2) Will I be charged at the time of reservation and what is the cancellation policy. Thanks much! - Rose

Welcome to planDisney, Rose! I just know you’re going to have a wonderful time during your vacation next March. Thanks for stopping by.

The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort is my family’s favorite place to stay when we visit the Walt Disney World Resort. Even our dogs love it there! When we don’t bring our own golf cart, we’ve found that renting one from the resort is very easy.

You can reserve your golf cart a full year in advance! You would not be charged at the time you make your reservation, but you will have to leave a credit card on file to hold your cart. You can also use a Disney Gift Card to pay for your reservation. I’ve done this a few times. I just asked the Cast Member to make a note on my reservation, saying I will be paying in person with a Disney Gift Card.

To make your reservation, or if you have any additional questions, call the golf cart rental office at (407) 824-2742.

Rose, while most of the golf cart rentals are for four people, there are carts available for six riders. The only thing is you can’t reserve those in advance. They are first come, first served, but are a great option if you have a larger travel party.

I hope this information is helpful to you. Please feel free to come back to see us if you have any more planning questions. For more planning tips from the planDisney family, take a look at our Panel Extras.

    Have a magical visit!
