Hi Anna! Welcome to planDisney! I’m just as excited as you are for the return of the
Holidays at the Disneyland Resort. There’s nothing quite like the first glimpse of twinkling lights and festive cheer. Let’s unwrap some of the magic you can expect this year.
The
Disney Parks Blog recently confirmed that the holiday season kicks off on November 14th and offered a sneak peek at what’s in store. Both parks will be adorned with seasonal décor, and Mickey, Minnie, and some of their friends will be dressed in sparkling new holiday outfits. These designs put a festive spin on the attire from the 70th Celebration, with shimmering greens, reds, and golds, and subtle nods to Disneyland’s milestone year.
At night, Sleeping Beauty Castle transforms into a Winter Castle, shimmering with icy lights and snow-capped charm. It’s perfect for photos that capture the season’s magic. Nearby, “it’s a small world” Holiday dazzles with colorful projections and lights, while the classic tune takes on a joyful holiday twist as children from around the world celebrate in their own delightful ways.
Disney California Adventure also shines with seasonal sparkle. Festival of the Holidays brings music, dance, and cuisine inspired by global holiday traditions. Buena Vista Street welcomes Guests with classic décor reminiscent of a vintage holiday postcard. Over in Cars Land, the “Haul-idays” take over with tire wreaths, snow-car sculptures, and toe-tapping tunes along your favorite attractions. Be sure to stop by the Festive Foods Marketplace, where your taste buds can explore sweet and savory treats from around the globe.
Of course, there’s even more to look forward to: parades, seasonal entertainment, and magical surprises await at every turn. Beginning November 14th, the Disneyland Resort will be sparkling with holiday magic, making it the perfect time to create memories that twinkle long after the season ends.
Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for the latest updates, and if any questions pop up while planning, planDisney is always here to guide you.
Wishing you a joyful, festive, and extra sparkly holiday season,
