Hi Bianca,
I am glad to see that you have already gotten
Disability Access Services (DAS) set up for your upcoming trip. For those who qualify, this can help to make your Disney World vacation more comfortable and easier to navigate. My family has used the DAS system several times on our trips to Disney World and it has been a lifesaver for us.
DAS is a great system that allows you to secure return times for rides electronically in the
My Disney Experience app throughout the day. You can only hold one DAS return time because it is basically a placeholder for you that represents you standing in line while you wait somewhere else that is more comfortable for the guest with a qualified disability. Once you exit the ride you will be able to secure another return time that is equal to the current wait time for whatever attraction you want to visit next.
The new paid
Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass systems can be used alongside your DAS return times to maximize the time you spend in the theme parks at Disney World. Even though both of these services run through the same app, they operate separately and should not affect each other. We always use both systems because the time we can spend in the theme parks is super limited and with both systems being used simultaneously, you can accomplish quite a few rides and attractions in a short period of time before your group needs to go back to rest or take a break from the theme parks.
Reservation for DAS and Lightning Lane Multipass will both be secured through the My Disney Experience app. You will also enter the same Lightning Lane entrance when using both DAS and Lightning Lane Multipass. The only difference will be how you make the reservation in your My Disney Experience app.
Keep in mind that the Lightning Lane Multi Pass service is brand new so there will likely be some bumps in the road when navigating both systems. If you are continually having issues make sure to stop by
Guest Services for some assistance. They will be able to give you a quick tutorial on navigating DAS which can be super helpful!
Happy Planning,
Jenna
