Ahoy there, Raven!
I'm absolutely delighted to welcome you aboard planDisney and thrilled you've charted a course our way with this great question! As you embark on your planning voyage, we're here as your trusted crew, ready to help you navigate every step of your journey toward smooth sailing and magical memories.
While Disney Cruise Line does not offer the Disability Access Service (DAS) that you may be familiar with at
Walt Disney World Resort or
Disneyland Resort, there are still plenty of accommodations in place to help ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for
Guests with disabilities. Whether you're navigating challenges related to waiting in lines, remaining in crowded areas, or have other medical or accessibility concerns, Disney Cruise Line is committed to providing support every step of the way.
A helpful resource to review is the
Information for Guests with Disabilities or Medical Conditions booklet, which outlines the many services available onboard. In addition, Guests may complete and submit the online
Special Services Information Form at least 60 days before embarkation. Once Disney Cruise Line receives the form, the Special Services team reviews your requests on a case-by-case basis and lets you know how they can best meet your needs.
You are also welcome to discuss the specifics of your voyage by
reaching out directly to Disney Cruise Line Special Services by email or phone.
To answer your second question, yes, you can absolutely use Disney Gift Cards during your Disney Cruise! In fact, there are a couple of convenient ways to apply them to your onboard account.
One option, something my planDisney pal,
Dustin, told me about, is to use your Disney Gift Cards to purchase onboard credit before you even set sail! To do this, visit the Disney Cruise Line website and navigate to the "Already Booked" tab. From there, select "
Onboard Gifts," enter your reservation details, then hover over "Shop by Category" and choose "Onboard Credit." You'll be able to enter your gift card number as the payment method.
Alternatively, once you're onboard, you can visit
Guest Services at any time during your sailing to have your Disney Gift Cards applied directly to your stateroom account. Either way, you'll be all set to enjoy those magical extras, like specialty dining and
spa treatments to
Port Adventures, and souvenir shopping!
Raven, I hope this information has been helpful! If any other questions come up as you plan your adventure, please feel free to sail back over to planDisney!
Charting Magic,
Kami
