Hello, I have DAS and was making my advanced lightening lane reservations. The planner was not able to make my recommendations so I wanted to try for some different rides.

    Hi Diana!

Welcome to Walt Disney World Resort, where magic knows no bounds and everyone's Happily Ever After is within reach! At Disney, we believe that everyone deserves a chance to experience the magic, which is why there are so many Services for Guests with Disabilities.

One of my children is on the autism spectrum and we have used the Disability Access Service (DAS) to help get him through the Theme Parks. The DAS has been a game changer for our family as he struggles to wait in a conventional queue, especially when it is crowded and loud.

Without knowing what types of attractions, you like, it is hard for me to give you “different ride recommendations” so what I will do instead, is walk you through some of our favorite attractions at each of the Theme Parks. Many attractions are available for Guests using the Disability Access Service. I will say, that when using the DAS, we try to choose attractions that I know he will struggle standing in line for. Some of these attractions have amazing queues for neurotypical people, but they tend to cause my kiddo to become easily overstimulated.

At Magic Kingdom Park, attractions such as Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Space Mountain, and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh are our top choices for using our DAS. Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we enjoy Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Slinky Dog Dash Roller Coaster at Toy Story Land. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park is a great option if you want to slow down and explore. My son loves animals so this park offers so many unique viewing opportunities. We like to experience entertainment as well as attractions, so in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, we enjoy Finding Nemo: The Big Blue…and Beyond! Lastly, over at EPCOT Soarin’ Around the World and Test Track are two favorites.

We talk a lot about experiencing all of the fun, but when it's time to recharge your magical batteries, head to one of our designated cool-off zones like The Hall of Presidents in Magic Kingdom Park or The American Adventure in EPCOT, where you can relax in air-conditioned comfort.

So, whether you're soaring through the skies or exploring far-off lands, Walt Disney World Resort is your playground of possibility, where dreams do come true – no matter who you are.
