What are the dairy free options at storybook dining Artist point?

Heigh-Ho, Heigh-Ho Heather! It’s off to dinner we go! Storybook Dining at Artist’s Point is one of Walt Disney World’s new signature restaurants, and I can assure you it is fantastic! I had the opportunity to preview the menu last Christmas, and I am counting down the days until I return!

Walt Disney World is committed to providing a safe and delicious dining experience for all of its Guests. More often than not, the fantastic Disney Chefs can substitute different ingredients to accommodate most of the common food allergies, including Milk, Lactose, or Egg (if your Dairy allergy includes this too). I perused the Allergy Menu for Storybook Dining at Artist’s Point, and there looks like there are plenty of fantastic options for you!

For starters, the Winter Squash Bisque is egg-free, but most bisques have some element of dairy (either butter or cream or both!), so double-check with your server at the restaurant before you order. But the Wicked Shrimp Cocktail and the From the Garden (minus the cheese) are great options, and delicious!

Once you get to The Core of the Story, I would suggest the “Cottage” Seafood Stew, which is egg and milk free. Another option is the Magic Mirror Slow-braised Veal Shank. It comes with mashed celery root, but I am sure the Chefs would be able to come up with an appropriate substitute.

When you’ve reached your Sweet Endings, you must try the Fairy Tale Gooseberry Pie! It is delicious and milk-free! The Hunters Gift to the Queen has cracked maple popcorn and a chocolate ganache heart. If you ask them to remove the heart, this dessert is also dairy-free!

Heather, I hope these options work for you. Above all, make sure to communicate your allergies to your server on arrival. If you want to talk with a Chef too, they are often available to discuss your options. We never say goodbye around here, so I’ll see ya real soon!
