Hello, Gareth. Thanks for reaching out to me here at planDisney!
Ah, an October visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort. Yes, that means Halloween season, and I love
Halloween as much as the next guy, but it also means
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival season...and
that's what I look most forward to during the fall season at the resort. You'll want to
take a look at the Foodie Guide that was just released for this festival and grab a Festival Passport when you're in the park. And don't forget to check out the lineup for the
Eat to the Beat Concert Series as some great musical acts are coming to the festival this year!
If you would like a physical ticket card, sometimes referred to as a "Key to the World" card, you can usually request one from a
Guest Relations location outside of any of the theme parks or at the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs. All the days on your theme park ticket will be loaded onto this card so you will not need a new one each day! To answer your second question, in recent years, only one
water park has been open at a time so it is unlikely that both water parks will be open in October. Follow along with the
Disney Parks Blog for any news and announcements related to the water parks!
Now, I know that you asked specifically about the water parks, but did you know that the
Disney Magic Ticket offers for our friends in the U.K. & Ireland also typically include other Walt Disney World Resort fun? You've got
Disney's Winter Summerland Miniature Golf,
Disney's Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf,
Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course, and the
ESPN Wide World of Sports as well. Plus, these tickets usually also include
Memory Maker to capture all of your magical moments and the
Park Hopper Option so you can visit more than 1 theme park in a day. Just be sure to check the details of your ticket to ensure this is in fact what you booked!
Gareth, enjoy your 14 days of magic this October. And feel free to
reach out again if you have any other questions.
Remember who you are,
Matt
