Hi moms and dads, Trying something new with next trip... no plastic! Can I mail a check for my room deposit or does it have to be done via credit card? Thank you. Also, does it still need to be paid in full 45 days prior just like credit card payment ?

    Hi Paula,

I love the idea of not having any debit prior to vacation!

Speaking with the cast members at Disney, you can still send a check. However, they recommend a credit card so the payment is processed quicker and the deposit arrives safely. You still need to pay your balance at 45 days.

The cast member also suggested Disney gift cards. You can purchase these and apply them to your balance over the phone. They can also be used to pay any expenses at the parks.

When we go on vacation, we put all of our charges on our Key to the World card. The night before we check out, we go to the front desk and pay the bill with our gift card.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
