Hi Moms & Dads! We have reservations for breakfast at 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian the week of Feb. 12th. Will the monorail closures affect us? what is the best route to get there from the Art of Animation? Thanks!

    Dear Amie,

Thanks for reaching out to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Happy to assist you with your question!

You are going to love the 1900 Park Fare breakfast so much. Not only is it delicious, but the character experiences are wonderful and the grounds of the Grand Floridian are well worth staying afterward to check out! It's a beautiful hotel.

You are correct in that the monorail is undergoing refurbishment, but it may not affect your trip very much at all. I have a couple of recommended routes for you to check out. My first suggestion is to take a bus from Art of Animation to the Magic Kingdom, and then to take a resort monorail to the Grand Floridian. Another option for you, if the resort monorail is either very busy or is not working at the time that you need, is to take a bus to the Magic Kingdom and then take a resort launch boat to the Grand Floridian. Either one of these options will be an experience in and of itself. Part of the fun of the Walt Disney World Resort for me actually is the transportation and all of the options for getting around!

I recommend that you ask a resort Cast Member that morning on your way out to determine your best route in case any option is not running.

    Have a supercalifragilistic time!
