Hello Moms and Dads, we recently changed resorts from ALL to SSR. We are a party of 4 adults 4 kids age 7,5,2,inf. Staying in a 2 bedroom villa. Can you Recomend a room request if we would like to be close to a kid friendly pool and walk to Down Town Dis.

    Hi Steven!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! With four little Mouseketeers joining you on your vacation, you’ll be happy to know that Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa has not one but two feature pools. Both feature zero entry areas, waterslides and whirlpools for Guests’ enjoyment. With the new pedestrian bridge, the Congress Park area of the resort is a quick 10 minute walk to Downtown Disney. Currently under a magical transformation into Disney Springs, Downtown Disney is a great place for a delicious meal, an evening stroll with an ice cream or to do some spectacular shopping.

I would recommend, if you wanted to be close to both swimming and Downtown Disney, that you request a room in The Springs section of the resort. The Springs area would put you close to High Rock Springs Pool, not too far of a walk to The Paddock Pool. You would also be close to The Carriage House which is the main check-in area for the resort and offers on-site shopping and dining. From The Springs section, the walk to Downtown Disney would be approximately 20 minutes.

Alternately, if being close to Downtown Disney was the priority, I would request to stay in Congress Park. There is a leisure pool in Congress Park for relaxing swimming fun, but it would not have a waterslide or other deluxe features like the main pools. In Congress Park you would be more like a 10 minute walk to Downtown Disney. Please keep in mind, that while Disney Cast Members do their absolute best to meet Guest’s requests, these requests can never be guaranteed.

I hope you are looking forward to your next Walt Disney World trip! Come back and let us know if you have any other questions.

    Wishing you a Magical Vacation!
