Hi moms and dads! Could you please tell me the difference between Star Tours and Star Wars Weekends? Which one is the Jedi training academy a part of? Thank you!

Hi, Jill!  The Star Tours attraction is currently closed, but the relaunch of this 3-D full-motion, flight simulator will take place on May 20, 2011.  Here is the Disney website for Star Tours: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/parks/hollywood-studios/attractions/star-tours/.

Star Wars Weekends are much-anticipated every year, and the dates for 2011 were recently released.  You can find the dates and read more about the weekends here: http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2011/02/feel-the-force-at-star-wars-weekends-2011/

The Jedi Training Academy is still performing even though Star Tours is currently closed.  It happens most days, not just during Star Wars weekends. My son treasures his pictures of his epic battle with Darth Vader.  You can learn more about this at this link: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/parks/hollywood-studios/entertainment/star-wars-jedi-training-academy/.

I hope this helps.  May the Force be with you!
