Hi moms and dads, I am planning to come to Disneyland Christmas 2021. On a tight budget but want to come for 4 or 5 days. Never been anywhere but Florida. Can you help with hotel suggestions please. So excited to come. Thank you.

    Welcome, Rose!

There is nothing quite like the Disneyland Resort at Christmastime. Of course, I'm happy to visit anytime of year, but there is so much extra magic in the air around Christmas! I'm really excited to hear that you'll be planning a visit for the holidays.

You're a little early to book your resort stays for December of 2021, but as you get closer to that time, you may see some specials at the Disneyland Resorts, so keep checking! If the three resorts at Disneyland are a bit more costly than your budget allows, be sure to check out all of the Good Neighbor Hotels. No, they're not officially Disney Resorts, but let me tell you, I've stayed in a couple of them and saved quite a bit of money and was not much further from the parks than the Disney Resorts. You mentioned you've been to Florida, and I'm guessing you mean the Walt Disney World Resort there. The Disneyland Resort is entirely different. It's not nearly as huge of an area, so many of the Good Neighbor Hotels are literally right across the street from the entrances to the two parks. You can easily walk over in just a few minutes, and all the other folks you'll see walking around that area will be doing the same thing: heading to Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure, and the Downtown Disney District on foot. It couldn't be easier.

So, check out those resorts as you get closer to travel time. I can't guarantee when the resorts will open for booking for December of 2021, but usually the summer prior to the new year is when you may see the bookings open, so I'd go ahead and begin checking the Disneyland Resort website in the early summer of 2020 and check often to find when you can book your stay!

Have so much fun planning this magical adventure, Rose!
