Moms and Dads, I'm considering staying at Fort Wilderness Cabins with my adult autistic daughter. One of us uses an ECV. Would renting a golf cart to get around the resort be redundant? Can a bike be rented for the entire week?

    Hi Rochelle!

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground offers guests the opportunity to enjoy a rustic family vacation while at Walt Disney World! The cabins offer lodging for up to six guests, and amenities such as a full kitchen, microwave and bunk beds!

With an ECV, you will be able to manage getting around the resort, but it should be noted that some of the pathways/driving areas are a bit bumpy due to gravel and rocks.  I always recommend renting a golf cart, as you wouldn't want to put so much wear and tear on your ECV more than necessary.

Bike rentals are currently available at Fort Wilderness for 30 minute, 60 minute and full day rentals.  Costs vary so its best to speak with reservations at the Bike Barn at (407) 824-8742 between the hours of 8 am and 6 pm.

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!

Hi there! The Disney Parks have been a part of my life since I was a little girl. Introducing my children, husband, and family to all the magic that Walt Disney World can offer has led to countless moments with Mickey and Friends, Disney Vacation Club membership and fun on the high seas with Disney Cruise Lines! Our vacations are usually centered around a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, and I am super excited to help you plan and create magical moments for you and your families!
