Moms and Dads, Can you hear the fireworks while having dinner at Be Our Guest? I hope to visit next spring with an autistic daughter who has auditory sensitivity. My backup plan is to be riding Space Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean or Haunted Mansion.

    Hi, Rochelle!

Thanks for stopping by the Moms Panel with your question. I have dined at Be Our Guest for dinner and to my recollection you would not be able to hear Wishes fireworks from inside the restaurant. However, you would definitely hear them from the bridge leading to the Beast's Castle if you were standing in line to enter the restaurant. Please be aware that for dinner Be Our Guest is a table-service location and requires an advanced dining reservation (which can be made up to 180 days prior to your visit).

Just a word of caution about Be Our Guest and the choice of dining rooms: To make the experience a positive one for your daughter, I highly recommend not sitting in or near the West Wing where claps of thunder and flashes of lightning repeatedly occur. I also suggest that you avoid being seated in the huge Ballroom as the acoustics and high ceiling make for a very loud atmosphere. Your best choice would be the Rose Room (Library) with its bright and cheery decor - it's my personal favorite! You can mention your daughter's auditory sensitivity to the host or hostess so you can be seated in the most appropriate area.

I think your backup plan is a good one. From inside Space Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean or the Haunted Mansion, you should not be able to hear Wishes. You'll want to time your attraction boarding to coincide with the start of the fireworks show. This should not be very difficult as the majority of Guests will be watching the fireworks rather than riding the attractions.

I hope this helps you to plan some magical "Disney time" with your daughter. Feel free to come visit us again here at the Moms Panel with any other questions.
