Hi Moms and Dads, First timers to DW next April When r the EMH released so I can start planning when we will go 2 each parks (no park hopper). Why r ADR so highly recommended? don't like the thought of being committed 2 b somewhere to eat, no flexibili

Dining reservations are almost a necessity if you want to eat at table service meals, particularly when you visit during a busy time. April will bring lots of spring break visitors to Disney, and I definitely would not want to show up without reservations. There's a very good chance you would not find table service availability, and if you did, you would have very little choice about where you dine or at what time.

Dining reservations are accepted 180 days in advance, and many people do make them exactly 6 months in advance. I strongly suggest you make reservations in advance as well, or opt to use the quick service dining plan instead where reservations are not required. 407-WDW-DINE is the number to call when you're ready to book.

Look for the April park calenders to be released later this fall, likely in November.

    Hope that helps!
