Hi Moms (& Dads)! 13 days!!! We have plans for Mickey's Backyard BBQ, 6:30 pm. If we go down to the beach at FW after the BBQ will we catch the Water Parade? Can we see Wishes from there? Or from the ferry on the way back to TTC? Thanks for your h

    Hi Jenn,

Mickey's Backyard BBQ typically ends at 8:00 p.m. I'm not sure exactly which night you're at the BBQ, but during the first week of October there is either Wishes at 9:00 or Hallowishes at 9:30.

While the Electrical Water Pageant schedule can change, the usual timing is that it will start at about 9:00 and pass Fort Wilderness at about 9:45.

So, the answer to your question is yes, the beach at Fort Wilderness is an excellent spot to watch both Wishes and the Water Pageant. However, I'm not sure that you'll want to wait around for an hour or more for this to happen. You can see much of Wishes (and sometimes the water pageant) from the ferry, but it depends on your timing.

I would stop by your resort concierge desk or any park guest relations office to confirm the times of both the fireworks and the water pageant and then you can decide whether you want to wait at Fort Wilderness, choose another viewing spot, or turn in early that evening.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
