Hello Moms & Dads. If you cannot make your character dining reservation (ie, at Hollywood & Vine), are you charged for that meal on your meal plan? Or are you only charged a meal on your plan for dining when you give a credit card to hold the slo

    Hi!

No, you will not be "docked" a dining credit if you fail to show up for your dining reservation, unless it is a meal or show that requires pre-payment or a credit card to hold (IE. Cinderella's Royal Table). In general, a good rule of thumb is, if you are not required to give a credit card up front when making your dining reservation, there is no penalty for "no shows".

HOWEVER, and this is a big however to me, keep in mind that there are many families who are hoping to dine at the Disney restaurants. If you do not cancel your reservations (even by calling the day of your reservation or even by calling an hour before your scheduled dining time), other families will be turned away at the podium. If you can call, or stop by a restaurant podium in the park, you may just make another family's vacation by opening up a spot at a restaurant they were looking forward to trying!

    Hope this helps!
